BBC Gladiators viewers threaten to boycott show as they spot ‘tactics’ in quarter-final clash – Daily Record

Fans of the popular BBC show Gladiators were left calling for ‘justice’ following a shocking revelation in the latest episode that will impact the rest of the series.

The broadcaster’s much-loved reboot has been captivating audiences since its second season began earlier this year.

In the episode aired on March 15, hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh returned to our screens for the final round of the quarter-finals. Viewers watched as contestants competed to secure their place in the semi-finals, taking part in various events including Unleash and intense rounds of Duel.

Nathan from Sunderland went head-to-head with Andy from Bournemouth, while Rachel, daughter of former boxer Frank Bruno from Essex, faced off against Keeva from Belfast. However, there was an unexpected turn of events when one Gladiator made a surprise appearance with significant news.

Hosts Bradley and Barney introduced Giant, who hadn’t yet participated in any of the events, surprising some viewers. He disclosed that he had unfortunately sustained an injury during his most recent appearance, having damaged his bicep while participating in Powerball.

As a result, the Gladiator won’t be able to participate in the remainder of the current series.

This news disappointed viewers at home, who quickly took to social media to share their reactions, with many sending their best wishes, according to the Mirror, reports the Express.

However, quite a few were also pointing fingers.

Viewers were left devastated on X as the fan-favourite Giant was eliminated from the competition, prompting an outpouring of sympathy online. One fan expressed their sorrow, saying: “Awwww. No more Giant. No more of them thighs.”

The absence of a much-anticipated Giant/Nathan rematch sparked discussions, with another viewer adding: “Ah, that’s why there was no Giant/ Nathan rematch.”

Suspicions arose that contestant Andy, who was competing for a place in the semi-finals, may have been behind Giant’s injury.

Calls for justice dominated social media, with one adamant fan stating: “Justice for Giant! ! ! Andy must not win.”

This sentiment was shared by others, with one insisting: “Giant deserves justice. Hopefully Andy won’t win tonight.”

In a lighter tone, someone humorously commented: “I hope Giant’s come back just to grind Andy into a fine red paste.”
