‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 trailer teases debauchery in Thailand

The White Lotus Season 3 brings us to a luxury resort in Thailand, where new groups of travelers — plus a familiar face in Season 1’s spa manager Belinda (Natasha Rothwell, How to Die Alone) — are ready for the vacation of a lifetime. The trailer gives us a taste of what’s to come for each hotel guest, played by an all-star cast.

Leslie Bibb (Juror #2), Michelle Monaghan (MaXXXine), and Carrie Coon (His Three Daughters) star as three longtime friends on a girls’ trip, but it seems like cracks are already forming in their friendship. Jason Isaacs (Baldur’s Gate 3) plays wealthy businessman Timothy, who’s on vacation with his wife Victoria (Parker Posey, Beau Is Afraid) and their three children (Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola). Yet this family getaway could go off the rails when Timothy learns that he might lose everything and go to jail.

Elsewhere, Fallout’s Walton Goggins and Sex Education’s Aimee Lou Wood play a couple on vacation, and Tayme Thapthimthong, Lek Patravadi, and BLACKPINK’s Lalisa Manobal, star as the White Lotus staff members who will surely be saddled with all these guests’ nightmarish problems.

Watch the full trailer above for more teases of social satire, sex, and violence. Plus, the immortal question, “Why are rich men always so angry?”

Selena Gomez shares emotional message about nation-wide immigration sweeps in now-deleted video

Selena Gomez on Monday posted — and quickly deleted — a video of herself reacting to the immigration enforcement sweeps launched by the Trump administration Sunday that resulted in over 1,000 arrests across the country.

The “Emilia Pérez” star, who is Mexican-American, posted the video to her Instagram story Monday morning. In it, she said through sobs that “all my people are getting attacked.”

“The children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry,” she said. “I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”

Gomez wrote “I’m sorry” next to an emoji of the Mexican flag in text in the bottom corner of her video.

In another post shared to her Instagram story after the first video was posted, Gomez wrote, “apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.” That post has also been deleted.

CNN has reached out to a representative for Gomez for comment.

Gomez has not addressed her statements on her social media pages since she deleted the video.

The Trump administration Sunday launched an immigration enforcement blitz nationwide in which 956 people were arrested, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In addition to Chicago, immigration actions were reported in California, Texas, Georgia, Colorado, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, according to Homeland Security and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Multiple agencies were involved in the apprehensions, including ICE and officials from several Justice Department agencies as they targeted what they said are public safety and national security threats.

ICE reported making more than 1,100 arrests as of Monday as the operation continued.

CNN’s Priscilla Alvarez and Rosa Flores contributed to this report.

Call it the Trump 2.0 effect.

Roseanne Barr, who was fired by Disney from her titular ABC show in 2018 at the height of its ratings prowess, is plotting a TV comeback. Barr tells Variety that she wrote a new comedy series with “Roseanne” and “Arli$” alum Allan Stephan and is about to take it to market.

The new series, which will star Barr and be four to six episodes in line with the U.K. comedy format, is “a cross between ‘The Roseanne Show’ and ‘The Sopranos,’” she says, and centers on a small-town farmer in Alabama who is “saving the United States from drug gangs and China.” The protagonist dabbles in growing and selling drugs like cannabis and magic mushrooms.

“It’s silly and out there,” she says. “[It will contain] very offensive ideas and a lot of swearing. I live with my daughter and her husband and their six children on a farm. And they have goats running through their house and stuff. It’s based on my life as a farmer in Hawaii. They save America with guns, the Bible, petty crime and alcoholism. It’s kind of like the Coen brothers thing.”

In 2018, Barr referred to former Michelle Obama aide Valerie Jarrett as the offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes” in a Twitter reply. She apologized to Jarrett and deleted her Twitter account. But ABC took quick action by firing Barr and canceling “Roseanne,” which had just finished its first season as the No. 1 scripted primetime TV show in the 18-49 age demographic.

She hasn’t worked in the mainstream entertainment industry since, even though her longtime “Roseanne” co-star John Goodman supported her by saying, “I know for a fact that she’s not a racist.” Her new series shares DNA with her megahit series “Roseanne,” which followed a working-class family and ran from 1988-1997. It was followed by the successful 2018 revival. Barr tells Variety that her new series will follow a family with similarities to the Conners, the clan featured in her two shows.

“There’s a scene where I have to strap myself into a corset. My granddaughter helps me, and then I go into town to flirt with all the shopkeepers that are just grotesque people,” she teases. “It’s just kind of a cartoony kind of thing.”

Barr, who was dropped by her longtime agents at ICM over the tweet, says that the project will soon be shopped in Hollywood but declined to say who is selling it.

“If Hollywood doesn’t buy it, then I’m just gonna make it myself,” she adds. “Does anybody in [Hollywood] like America or the people who watch TV? Because the people who watch TV would really like to see a show where working-class people win against the enemies of America.”

Barr says Disney cut ties with her in 2018 before a single sponsor pulled out “because of a political phone call.” She says Disney CEO Bob Iger called Jarrett and Obama and promised that the controversial star would be removed from the airwaves. (A Disney source says Iger never spoke to Obama and only talked to Jarrett after the decision was made.)

But the climate has shifted in the past few months compared to Trump’s first presidency. During Trump 1.0, Barr was among a small group of industryites who vocally supported him during his presidential run in 2016. She believes it contributed to her cancellation. (Iger later called Barr’s tweet “completely insensitive, completely disrespectful.”) This time around, many influential players in the tech and media landscape have thrown their support behind Trump, making the pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago or otherwise cozying up to him. Moguls including Apple’s Tim Cook, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos were all on hand in the Capitol Rotunda when the 45th and 47th president was sworn in on Jan. 20, while Larry Ellison, the billionaire behind the Paramount-Skydance merger, is a longtime Trump supporter and is working closely with the president on AI efforts. Even Iger made a corporate contribution to the Trump inaugural fund.

Barr says the recent presidential election results prove that viewers are eager for content that Hollywood has been loath to make.

“Hollywood has made itself irrelevant to the American people,” she says. “If they want to survive, they should work with the new president. American people elected him in an overwhelming victory. They should get back in touch with [them] and make some money, which I don’t know if they do or not ’cause they’ve proven to be ideologues rather than [business people]. What shocks me is the fact that they prefer to lose money and then explain that to the shareholders who apparently have no problem with that.”

Barr is currently the host of “The Roseanne Barr Podcast” and has appeared as a guest on fellow comedians’ shows like “Club Random With Bill Maher.” When asked if she would consider ABC if the network was interested, she replied with an emphatic, “Fuck no.”

As for other potential Hollywood suitors, Barr isn’t so sure that one will step up.

“I don’t give a fuck either way,” she explains. “I’d like to get paid handsomely to bring another shit fucking network back from doom as I’ve done twice for ABC. But I just don’t see how they would keep their nose out of my business. We’ll see. If not, I’ll just go somewhere else and put it on my own website.”

And though she is a full-fledged MAGA adherent, she isn’t necessarily BFFs with the Trump inner circle. She felt the sting after inviting multiple members of Team Trump to appear on her podcast but found no takers. She even launched a music video with Canadian rapper Tom MacDonald two days before the inauguration titled “Daddy’s Home.” The ode to the president has notched 4.8 million views to date.

“The Trump administration regards me as a loose cannon, which I am,” she says. “I’m not a party line person for anyone or anything except myself. The Trump staff or whoever runs it, they’re a little afraid of me. I am a loudmouth comedian, so I understand it. But it really hurt my feelings. But what are you gonna do?”

Alec Baldwin, Hilaria Baldwin open up about ‘Rust’ shooting’s emotional toll in first trailer of TLC’s ‘The Baldwins’

The cable network TLC on Monday made public the first trailer for its upcoming reality TV series “The Baldwins,” spotlighting Amityville-born and Massapequa-raised actor Alec Baldwin, his wife Hilaria Baldwin and their brood of kids.

“Seven children. Six animals. Two parents,” Hilaria Baldwin, 41, says in voice-over at the start of the minute-long video, over quick cuts of the couple with the children, cats and dogs. “Wild family!” she adds jocularly to the camera, speaking of herself, three-time Emmy Award winner Alec Baldwin, 66, and their “Baldwinitos”: Daughters Carmen, 11, Maria Lucia, almost 4, and Ilaria, 2, and sons Rafael, 9, Leo, 8, Romeo, 6, and Eduardo, 4.

The behind-the-scenes show, which appears to have shot at both the family’s Greenwich Village apartment and their home in Amagansett, is set to premiere Feb. 23. The Baldwins and TLC had announced on June 4 that the series was in production.

Following scenes of the kids with one parent or other in the kitchen, on a patio with pizzas, getting scolded for being in the pool without permission and being driven somewhere, the screen goes black. Then, over scenes of the New Mexico locale of the Western movie “Rust” — where cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot and director Joel Souza wounded in 2021 when a prop gun held by star and co-producer Alec Baldwin discharged during a rehearsal — Hilaria states in voice-over of Hutchins’ child, “A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy. This is never something to forget. …

“And,” she continues, as we then see her in a kitchen, speaking to someone off-camera, “we’re trying to parent through it.”

As the gospel-inflected “Lift You Up” by English singer-songwriter Juliet Roberts comes up, we see family and show-production scenes, including Alec dropping his face to one hand in anguish. We cut to a kitchen, where he tells his wife, “Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you and these kids.”

Amid more family vignettes, Hilaria concludes, “We’ve had bad moments but we found our foundation. … We’re solid and we’re here together.”

Unseen in the trailer is Ireland Baldwin, 29, Alec’s daughter with his ex-wife, Academy Award winner Kim Basinger.

Jennifer Lopez Has the Final Word on Naked Spider-Web Dresses

Over the past few years, a micro trend has emerged, nestled in the spot where the Venn diagram of “sheer” and “method dressing” overlaps: sheer spider web gowns. Jennifer Lopez is the latest to don the style, and, dare we hope, the last?

In December 2021, red carpet queen Zendaya rolled up to a premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home in a gorgeous, faux-nude, slinky gown with web-patterned beading, accessorizing with a Spidey-ish mask for full effect. This is after she rocked spiderweb earrings on the same press tour.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Sony-Marvel-Spiderverse, Dakota Johnson was cast in the lead role in Madame Web, and when that movie came out in February 2024, we got another handful of webtacular designs. Johnson wore a gorgeous and completely see-through spider-webbed mesh number to the Vogue Brazil Ball in Rio de Janeiro, and a week later, attended a red carpet in a mesh naked dress.

Drag Race UK star The Vivienne laid to rest as mourners attend church service

The artist, actor and singer born James Lee Williams died aged 32 earlier this month. Williams rose to national fame after winning the first series of Drag Race UK, and also came third on the 2023 edition of Dancing On Ice.

Six doves were released as mourners left the church in Denbighshire, north Wales as Williams’ coffin was pulled by horses with green feather plumes.

Funeral-goers also donned green in honour of the star who played the Wicked Witch of the West in the theatre production of The Wizard of Oz. Others wore Vivienne Westwood badges in honour of Williams, who named themselves after the designer.

The crown and sceptre The Vivienne won on Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK were carried into the church ahead of their coffin. Family members walked behind the coffin as it entered the church. Floral tributes read “Vivienne” and “James”. A third was made up of purple flowers in the shape of a witch’s hat.

Fellow RuPaul’s Drag Race UK contestants Tia Kofi, Baga Chipz and Cheryl arrived for the funeral together, while the winner of the show’s fourth series Danny Beard wore a jacket and trousers covered with Vivienne Westwood logos. He walked to the church with actor Hayley Tamaddon.

Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney attended with radio presenter Pete Price, while former Brookside actor Jennifer Ellison and celebrity chef Jameson Stocks were also present at the service.

Williams was reportedly found dead at their home by their father and stepmother, a friend told The Sun. Cheshire police issued an update shortly after news of the death was made public, concluding there were “no suspicious circumstances”.

Ariana Grande, Michelle Visage, presenter Rylan Clark and Tia Kofi were among the stars who paid tribute.

Williams, who was born in Wales, adopted the drag name as they were known for wearing Vivienne Westwood clothing.

“My style is like a Scouse wife who has come into money, she moved to LA and blew it all and then she’s had to move back to Liverpool,” they once explained.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK judge Michelle Visage said The Vivienne was a “beacon to so many” who was always laughing and would be “so missed”.

  • Democratic Party Scandal: Top Official’s Heinous Crimes Exposed!

Democratic Party Scandal: Top Official’s Heinous Crimes Exposed!

The airwaves are buzzing with news that has left many in utter disbelief — Matthew Inman, a 39-year-old prominent figure within the Florida Democratic Party, has found himself at the epicenter of a scandal that has sent shockwaves through the political landscape. Accused of possessing and distributing child pornography, Inman was arrested after a sting operation caught him allegedly attempting to arrange a meeting with a purported nine-year-old boy for illicit purposes.

Inman, who flaunted his position as treasurer of Orange County’s Democratic Party and president of the Rainbow Democrats, was apprehended following an investigation that began between August and October 2024. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Middle District of Florida, Inman had saved several videos of child sexual abuse material on his phone, depicting unimaginably heinous acts — adults assaulting young children. Yet, his activities took an even darker turn when he engaged in online communications with an undercover officer who posed as the father of a young potential victim.

During these conversations, Inman reportedly expressed a vile interest in meeting and assaulting the child, all the while sharing additional illicit material with the officer. The situation escalated when federal law enforcement, executing a search warrant on Inman’s residence, reportedly found him attempting to delete incriminating evidence and hide in his attic — a desperate act of evasion that highlights the gravity of the charges he faces.

The Democratic Party — both at the state and local levels — has been quick to distance itself from Inman. Statements from the Orange County Democrats and the Rainbow Democrats convey profound disgust and condemnation. “We are deeply appalled and horrified by the news that Matthew Inman has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse involving a minor,” said the Orange County Democrats in a statement, echoing the sentiments of the Rainbow Democrats who were “shocked” by the revelations. Inman has since been suspended from his roles within these organizations, reflecting a swift response to uphold accountability.

This incident also underscores the vital role of law enforcement and initiatives like Project Safe Childhood — a nationwide program by the Department of Justice aimed at combating the sexual exploitation of children. It’s a program that plays an indispensable role in bringing those who prey on society’s most vulnerable to justice. If convicted, Inman could face up to 20 years in federal prison, a sobering reminder of the severity of the crimes he is accused of.

Situations like these demand unwavering vigilance and scrutiny from the public. They exemplify the need for integrity and transparency from those who stand at the helm of political power. As the dust settles, it’s crucial that voters remain engaged and demand leaders who exemplify the values they claim to support, rather than betray them in the most reprehensible ways.

Democratic Treachery: Florida Official’s Vile Crimes Rock Party to Core

In a disturbing development from the Sunshine State, a Florida Democratic Party official stands accused of heinous acts involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Matthew Inman, formerly the treasurer of the Orange County Democratic Party and president of the Rainbow Democrats, has been charged with transporting child pornography following an undercover sting operation orchestrated by law enforcement.

According to statements from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida, Inman, a 39-year-old Orlando resident, is alleged to have possessed videos depicting egregious sexual abuse of minors by adults. These allegations span several months — from August to October 2024 — during which Inman purportedly saved multiple such videos on his mobile device.

The gravity of the charges against Inman is underscored by the chilling details of a covert operation. In October 2024, while in Las Vegas, Inman initiated online communication with an undercover officer posing as the father of a fictitious nine-year-old boy. During these exchanges, Inman allegedly articulated a disturbing interest in meeting and sexually assaulting the supposed child and even shared CSAM with the officer.

The sordid tale took another twist when FBI agents, armed with a search warrant, descended on Inman’s Florida residence. In an apparent attempt to evade capture, Inman endeavored to delete incriminating evidence from his phone and sought refuge in his attic — a futile effort that culminated in his arrest by U.S. Marshals. He is currently being held in the Seminole County Jail, deprived of bond, facing a potential prison sentence of up to 20 years if convicted.

Responses from the Democratic establishment have been swift and unequivocal. The Orange County Democratic Party, in a public statement, expressed being “deeply appalled and horrified” by the revelations. “We unequivocally condemn child sexual abuse in the strongest possible terms and hope that any victims involved receive the support and resources they need moving forward,” the statement read. Similarly, Rainbow Democrats, the nonprofit organization previously led by Inman, conveyed their shock and intent to distance themselves from him, announcing his immediate suspension and impending removal.

This case unfolds against the backdrop of “Project Safe Childhood,” a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in 2006 to combat the sexual exploitation and abuse of children. The implications of Inman’s charges resonate loudly within the political arena, compelling a reassessment of accountability and integrity standards among party officials.

It is worth noting that amidst the clamor of political discourse, the paramount focus remains on ensuring justice for the victims and preventing further atrocities. The governmental and community call to action underscores a collective resolve to fervently combat child exploitation in all its vile forms.
