‘Social Network’ star Jesse Eisenberg reveals why he doesn’t want to…

Jesse Eisenberg wants to socially distance himself from Mark Zuckerberg, saying the billionaire tech boss he portrayed in “The Social Network” is “problematic.”

The 36-year-old actor said he doesn’t follow Zuckerberg’s “life trajectory” because he doesn’t want anything to do with the Facebook founder

“I haven’t been following his (Zuckerberg’s) life trajectory, partly because I don’t want to think of myself as associated with somebody like that. It’s not like I played a great golfer or something, and now people think I’m a great golfer,” Eisenberg told BBC Radio on Tuesday.

“It’s like this guy is doing things that are problematic, taking away fact-checking. Making people who are already threatened in this world more threatened.”

In January, Zuckerberg announced Facebook and Instagram’s parent company Meta will be scrapping the much-maligned third-party fact-checking system for a community note-based system where users can add context to posts, similar to that on rival social media network X.

The tech honcho said the company was returning to its roots after admitting the fact-checking turned into a tool of censorship and became “too politically biased,”

“What started as a movement to be more inclusive has increasingly been used to shut down opinions and shut out people with different ideas,” he said, adding: “It’s gone too far.”

Eisenberg alluded to Zuckerberg’s about-face towards President Donald Trump following the latter’s White House victory, as a cause for concern with his public image.

“These people have billions upon billions of dollars, like more money than any human person has ever amassed and what are they doing with it?” he said, “Oh, they’re doing it to curry favor with somebody who’s preaching hate.”

Following the November election, Zuckerberg positioned himself with Trump even asking for some help with his business problems.

The two met at least twice at Mar-a-Lago before Trump returned to office — once in late November and another in January.

Zuckerberg attended Trump’s inauguration where he sat alongside fellow tech CEOs Tim Cook of Apple, X’s Elon Musk, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Google’s Sundar Pichai.

Eisenberg said his problem with Zuckerberg isn’t because he played him in a movie.

“That’s what I think… not as like a person who played in a movie. I think of it as somebody who is married to a woman who teaches disability justice in New York and lives for her students are going to get a little harder this year,” he added.

Despite his impressive resume and wide range of acting, the New York native is best known for “The Social Network.”

He earned nominations for Best Actor during the 2011 award season at the BAFTAs, the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.

Blake Lively’s next film project officially has a title and premiere date.

The sequel to Lively’s 2018 film “A Simple Favor” is titled “Another Simple Favor” and is set to mark its debut as the opening night film at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas next month, according to a news release Tuesday.

The thriller-comedy brings back Lively’s costar Anna Kendrick and their director Paul Feig (“Bridesmaids”), and will follow Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Lively) as they “head to the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman,” according to a synopsis.

“Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.”

Andrew Rannells, Elizabeth Perkins, Henry Golding and Allison Janney, among others, round out the cast for the new installment.

The news of Lively’s next project comes as she is in the thick of an ongoing legal dispute stemming from her 2024 film “It Ends With Us,” the cinematic adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s popular 2016 novel that premiered last summer.

In December, Lively accused her costar and the film’s director Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation in a complaint first filed with the California Civil Rights Department, preceding a civil lawsuit that followed about a week later.

Baldoni has denied Lively’s allegations and filed a lawsuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds last month, accusing them of civil extortion, defamation and invasion of privacy. He also filed a libel suit against the New York Times, who first reported on Lively’s complaint.

A first hearing on the stars’ dispute took place earlier this week. A trial date is currently scheduled for the spring of 2026.

“Another Simple Favor” will premiere on March 7, when the SXSW festival kicks off, and will be available to stream on May 1 on Prime Video.

  • What we know about Black Sabbath’s final gig with Ozzy Osbourne

What we know about Black Sabbath’s final gig with Ozzy Osbourne

Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne will reunite with his original bandmates this summer for his final performance.

The heavy metal star, 76, will rock Birmingham’s Villa Park on 5 July, as part of an all-day event called ‘Back to the Beginning’. He will deliver his own set before playing together with bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time in 20 years.

Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who will serve as the gig’s musical director and one of the support acts, said it would be “the greatest heavy metal show ever”. But what else can fans expect? Here’s everything you need to know about the concert.

Tickets for Black Sabbath’s farewell show will go on sale at 10am on Friday, 14 February.

The gig will take place on 5 July at Villa Park in Birmingham, the city where the music pioneers formed in 1968. Villa Park is the home ground of Osbourne’s favourite football team, Aston Villa.

The group played their “last” gig in 2017 in Birmingham with Osbourne, guitarist Iommi and bassist Butler but without Ward on drums.

All profits will go to charities including Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice, which is supported by Aston Villa.

In a statement, Osbourne said: “It’s my time to go back to the beginning… time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham forever.”

The singer is bowing out from live performing following several health issues. In 2020, Osbourne revealed he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and he paused touring “for now” in 2023 after extensive spinal surgery.

He had a fall at home in 2019 which aggravated injuries from a near-fatal quad bike crash in 2003, stopping his No More Tours 2 shows from going ahead in Europe and the UK. The tour had previously been rescheduled several times because of illness, the Covid pandemic and logistical issues.

His most recent UK performance came during a surprise appearance at the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony in his hometown in 2022.

Osbourne formed the metal group in 1968 while looking to escape a life of factory work. Their self-titled debut album in 1970 made the UK top 10 and paved the way for hit singles including Paranoid, Never Say Die and Neon Knights.

They went on to sell more than 75 million albums worldwide, and have been credited with influencing generations of rock and metal acts. Their final LP, 13, was released in 2013.

The group were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, and Osbourne was added for a second time last year.

The frontman rose to further fame alongside his wife Sharon, who he married in 1982, through their reality TV series The Osbournes. The couple have three children, Aimee, Jack and Kelly.

The ‘Back to the Beginning’ gig will feature sets by a host of major metal bands including Metallica, Slayer and Alice In Chains. The show will also see performances by Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Anthrax and Mastodon.

Other musicians on the line-up include Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan and Slash, Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst, Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale and Rage Against the Machine star Tom Morello.

They will be joined by Anthrax’s Frank Bello and Scott Ian, Disturbed’s David Draiman, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, Faith No More’s Mike Bordin, Ghost’s Papa V Perpetua, guitarist Jake E Lee, Judas Priest’s KK Downing, bassist Rudy Sarzo, guitarist Sammy Hagar, Wolfgang Van Halen, Zakk Wylde and Sleep Token.

  • Scarlett Johansson Leads the Fight for Survival in “Jurassic World Rebirth” — See the Intense Trailer!

Scarlett Johansson Leads the Fight for Survival in “Jurassic World Rebirth” — See the Intense Trailer!

Universal Pictures has finally released the highly anticipated trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, the next thrilling installment in the legendary Jurassic Park saga. Directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and written by Jurassic Park’s original screenwriter, David Koepp, the film promises to take the franchise in a bold, fresh direction.

Set to hit theaters on July 2, 2025, Jurassic World Rebirth boasts a stellar cast led by Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, alongside international stars Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Ed Skrein. The trailer teases heart-pounding action, breathtaking visuals, and an ominous new mystery that could change everything we thought we knew about dinosaurs.

Jurassic World Rebirth takes place five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion. The world has changed, with dinosaurs now living in isolated equatorial regions, the only environments where they can thrive. However, deep within the DNA of three of the largest prehistoric creatures on Earth lies a secret — a genetic key to a groundbreaking new drug that could revolutionize medicine.

Leading the dangerous mission to obtain these vital genetic materials is Zora Bennett, played by Scarlett Johansson, a highly skilled covert operations expert. She is joined by her trusted teammate Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali) and Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey), a brilliant paleontologist. Their mission is to infiltrate a long-abandoned research facility on an island previously owned by Jurassic Park’s founders.

However, things take a shocking turn when their paths cross with Reuben Delgado (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) and his family, whose boating trip was violently interrupted by aquatic dinosaurs. The group finds themselves stranded on the island, surrounded by dinosaurs that are far more dangerous than anyone could have imagined. What they uncover in the ruins of the facility will not only test their survival but reveal a sinister secret that has been hidden for decades.

The Jurassic World Rebirth trailer introduces a terrifying new element to the franchise — mutant dinosaurs. Unlike previous films, which primarily focused on genetically modified creatures like the Indominus Rex and Indoraptor, this film explores the consequences of failed genetic experiments left behind by the original Jurassic Park scientists.

Director Gareth Edwards describes the film as a blend of horror, adventure, and survival thriller, taking inspiration from classic creature features and gritty sci-fi films. Producer Frank Marshall emphasizes that the movie will push the limits of suspense and danger, immersing the audience in a truly primal fear experience.

The film assembles an impressive ensemble of talent, including:

With such a powerhouse cast, Jurassic World Rebirth promises compelling character dynamics and high-stakes action sequences that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Unlike the previous Jurassic World films, which leaned into blockbuster spectacle, Jurassic World Rebirth returns to the horror-adventure roots of Jurassic Park. Gareth Edwards has crafted a darker, more intense experience, focusing on survival, fear, and the unpredictability of nature.

The trailer showcases tense chase sequences, eerie jungle landscapes, and nightmarish dinosaur encounters. Fans have already begun speculating about what shocking new creatures will make their debut and how the mutant dinosaur subplot will play out.

With Jurassic World Rebirth, Universal is setting the stage for a new trilogy that explores the consequences of genetic tampering, human greed, and the fight for survival in a dinosaur-infested world. The film is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, ensuring that it stays true to the spirit of the original Jurassic Park while introducing a fresh vision for modern audiences.

Fans are already buzzing with excitement, with the trailer generating millions of views within hours of its release. Many are praising the film’s gritty tone, intense action, and stunning cinematography, while others are eager to see how this installment connects to the larger Jurassic universe.

With its high-octane action, jaw-dropping visuals, and a chilling new mystery, Jurassic World Rebirth is shaping up to be one of the most exciting blockbusters of 2025. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the franchise or a newcomer, this film is poised to deliver the thrills, terror, and adventure that have made Jurassic Park a cinematic legend.

Make sure to mark your calendars — Jurassic World Rebirth storms into theaters on July 2, 2025.

  • 5 Ways Spinal Stimulation Transforms Lives

5 Ways Spinal Stimulation Transforms Lives

**The Power of Spinal Stimulation: How Zapping the Spine is Transforming Lives**

In the world of medical marvels, spinal stimulation is taking center stage—ushering in a new era of hope for those battling muscle-wasting and neurodegenerative diseases. This cutting-edge technology is not just a sci-fi fantasy but a tangible reality that’s propelling individuals toward greater independence and quality of life.

*Boosting Muscle Function in Neurodegenerative Diseases*

Imagine a future where progressive diseases no longer mean a life of decline. Spinal stimulation—once used primarily to treat chronic pain—is now being harnessed to breathe life back into dormant muscles. By zapping dormant nerves, researchers are revving up muscle activity in patients plagued by conditions like spinal muscle atrophy (SMA). These individuals, whose futures seemed locked in deterioration, are now witnessing a stunning shift. Their muscles are responding—fighting back against the wasting with newfound vigor.

    *Enhancing Mobility in Paralyzed Patients*

For years, paralysis has been a sentence—one that spinal stimulation seeks to commute. By taking the reins of spinal circuitry, this technology is offering a lifeline to those trapped by immobility. It gears up the body’s own reflexes, turning on circuits that lie silent downstream of injury. The result? A dramatic shift in autonomy. Patients are finding themselves able to stand, walk, and even take strides toward a new routine of movement.

*The Science Behind Spinal Stimulation Technology*

At the heart of this breakthrough lies an intricate dance of bioelectricity. Spinal stimulation involves placing electrodes near the spinal cord, delivering precise electrical pulses. These pulses don’t just wake up muscles—they orchestrate a symphony of nerve activity. By putting the body’s own infrastructure under the microscope, researchers are discovering that the spinal cord isn’t just a passive highway for nerve signals but a sophisticated conductor of coordination.

*Patient Stories: How Spinal Stimulation Changes Lives*

Real people, real stories—each narrative is etched with hope and perseverance. Take Doug McCullough, for instance. Before the implant, standing from a kneeling position was a formidable challenge. Now, each step is longer, each stride less fatiguing. The impact doesn’t fade away when the stimulator is turned off; it lingers, imbuing nights with a supercharged vitality that felt almost surreal to Doug.

*Future Prospects: Expanding Applications of the Technology*

As researchers dive deeper, the promise of spinal stimulation broadens. While caution remains—current studies are small and short—there’s an electric buzz of anticipation. Could this technology expand its reach to other muscle-degenerating diseases? The potential is vast and the field, ripe with possibility. With ongoing small-scale trials and a commitment to longer studies, the landscape of neurodegenerative disease treatment is set to be electrified.

In conclusion, as we stand on the brink of breakthroughs, spinal stimulation offers not just a glimpse of transformation but a promise—one that invites a community knit by resilience and optimism to walk, stride, and run into a healthier future.
